We launched our first N.T. Wright Online course in 2015 on Udemy. Since then, we have provided 122,000 students in 195 countries with quality, biblical teaching.
As we seek to expand our reach, content, scholars, and student community, we need a central location for all of this to live. In 2022, we began Admirato as a space to support this growth.
In 2023, we have redesigned 15 of our 43 existing N.T. Wright Online courses for Admirato. We have also created 4 brand-new courses and 5 Bible plans. So far, this effort has cost $107,215. Normally tuition covers 1/3 of our operating expenses, but this year we are more dependent on support from our donors than ever before. Why not continue with Udemy?
Udemy is a for-profit platform that features tens of thousands of courses centered around various business, industry, and hobby disciplines. When we began building courses, Udemy was one of the best learning platforms available. It is still a good platform for many courses. However, as a non-profit organization, Udemy's marketing of various marketplace courses to our students does not complement our organizational goals. Udemy also limits the kind and amount of resources we are able to point our students to, including other of our own resources. We needed the freedom to better control our own marketing and integrate our suite of products. By having our own platform, we can serve student needs more personally.

What are the benefits of hosting courses on Admirato?
All of our resources can now be hosted in one central location. When students enroll in a course on Admirato, they are signing up with our organization. This allows for a deeper relationship, better communication, elevated customer service, and a simplified user experience. With the ability to create student communities, live events, and new types of content, we look forward to inviting new voices into a safe and gracious learning space.

What resources are currently available on Admirato?
By the end of 2023, we will have 18 courses, 6 Bible reading plans, and 9 eBooks available on Admirato. It will take time to migrate all 43 of our existing N.T. Wright Online courses to Admirato from Udemy. Visit our content page to learn more.

What if I already purchased a course on Udemy?
Any courses previously purchased from N.T. Wright Online on Udemy are yours forever. They can still be accessed on Udemy the same way as before. Any new course purchases will be accessed exclusively on Admirato. All N.T. Wright Online Udemy courses are being updated for Admirato and you can purchase these individually, or enroll via one of our memberships.
