Our Mission: Making Learning as Personal as Possible

We want you to explore, discover, and ignite your love of learning. Our educational offerings provide a place to nurture and encourage the possibilities of engaging theology.

The Story of Admirato

In 2013, after over 30 years in pastoral ministry, Dr. David Seemuth started The Wisconsin Center for Christian Studies (WCCS), the organization that would later become Admirato. This organization's aim was to bring the exciting conversations of biblical scholarship closer to everyday Christians in Dr. Seemuth's local community. After meeting Prof. N.T. Wright at a church event, the two began a friendship that eventually became a fruitful collaboration. Together they founded N.T. Wright Online (NTWO) in 2015 as a ministry under the umbrella of WCCS. For eight years, NTWO made world-class biblical teaching accessible through online courses, eBooks, Bible Plans, and events. The N.T. Wright Online division of the WCCS had reached over 100,000 students representing 195 countries. But it had reached the limits of the technology and the name would not lead to further accelerated growth.

After a year of prayer, planning, and consulting with experts in the field of online education and ministry, it was clear that a name change and a change of educational platform was necessary. The team at Wisconsin Center for Christian Studies is proud to announce Admirato as the new and expanded home for engaging theology! Admirato will embody the future of what was started in 2013: to make learning as personal as possible with the finest biblical and theological scholarship available.

FAQ

  • What is Admirato's relationship with the Wisconsin Center for Christian Studies?

Admirato is both the new name and the new platform for the Wisconsin Center for Christian Studies and N.T. Wright Online. We not only feature the teachings of Prof. N.T. Wright on Admirato, but we are expanding to highlight the work of other scholars worldwide. Admirato.org is the website that embodies the online work of these scholars.

  • What is Admirato's relationship with N.T. Wright Online?

N.T. Wright Online is a crucial part of Admirato. The same small team that brought you over 40 courses at N.T. Wright Online is excited to serve you even more world-class biblical content as Admirato!

  • How do I access my Udemy courses on Admirato?

People who have courses on the original platform, Udemy, may still access their courses there. But all new courses will be released exclusively on Admirato.org in the future. Admirato also allows for live events and community engagement. We want to feature a venue for people with inquiring minds to communicate with each other through our online communities on Admirato. We also have an app that allows our students to take their courses and other material with them on their mobile devices.

  • Are you affiliated with any particular denomination or university? Do you offer continuing education credit?

Admirato is not affiliated with any specific denomination, church, or university. Admirato is not formally accredited.
